Abstract
Eosinophilia is defined as an abnormal increase of eosinophils in the peripheral blood over 500/¥ìL and can be classified as mild (500~1,500/¥ìL), intermediate (1,500~5,000/¥ìL), severe (¡Ã5,000/¥ìL) according to AEC (Absolute Eosinophil Count). Although a number of cases with mild eosinophilia are found during the periodic health examination, there are no definite guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of eosinophilia. In this report, we present two cases of mild eosinophilia with tissue infiltration, which were first differentially diagnosed to rule out other possible causes without performing any invasive tissue biopsy, that were normalized by regular follow up and empirical therapy.
